MANDATORY TECHNICAL RECOMMENDATIONS
1 – Recommendations for ATE and ATG polarity inverter products:
➡️ “You must follow the technical manuals and installation instructions for your device, as well as all accompanying recommendations to ensure optimal results.”
Removal of coatings or water-resistant wall finishes:
It is recommended to remove the lower portion of the interior wall coatings during the drying period — at least 10 cm above the damaged area — to allow the walls to “breathe.”
Ventilation of the home:
Good air circulation is essential, as drying occurs partially through evaporation.
It is therefore crucial to ensure proper ventilation, and to make sure doors and windows meet building standards (e.g., door undercuts of 1.5 cm in dry rooms and 2 cm in humid areas).
Plaster and paint restoration:
Once walls have dried, surfaces must be brushed thoroughly to remove hygroscopic salts.
For complete restoration, it is strongly recommended to apply lime-based plaster with additives that neutralize hygroscopic salts.
Drainage installation:
In the case of lateral water infiltration, it is recommended to install a drainage system to collect and evacuate groundwater before it reaches the foundations.
Important Note:
The drying time of walls depends on several factors, including wall thickness, composition, surface coatings, and compliance with all recommendations.
❗ This process does not treat water infiltration, flood damage, or mold issues, which must be handled separately.
⚠️ WARNING:
Our anti-humidity products (IPE, ATG, and ATE) must only be installed in old houses without a crawl space.
The customer acknowledges and agrees that following the technical and safety instructions provided by HUMIDISTOP is mandatory to ensure product performance and safety.
❌ Failure to comply with these recommendations may result in the loss of warranty coverage and HUMIDISTOP SAS being released from any liability in case of malfunction or damage.
Disclaimer – No Performance Guarantee:
Our products are sold without a guaranteed result, as outcomes may vary depending on environmental factors and whether the product was used properly and installed in accordance with guidelines.
